Welcome to Emerald in 2013 - our annual update that highlights what has taken place at Emerald over the last year and what key developments are scheduled in for this year. The publication is packed with what our customers have to look forward to from Emerald in 2013 in terms of both our exciting new products and services.
I’d also like to thank everyone we have worked with over the last year. Many of you, through in-depth discussions and participation in our satisfaction surveys, have provided great feedback on what Emerald does well and, equally, the things we can do better – and this has all fed into the developments we will be putting in place during 2013. See page 2.

In 2013 Emerald will be migrating its website to Atypon’s Literatum online publishing platform. See page 4. Literatum is widely recognized as an industry leader and will allow Emerald to offer an enhanced service to our librarian, author and researcher communities.
Throughout 2013 we will further enhance our service portfolio with Event Management Services, ASLIB Membership, Guide to Getting Published workshops and Editorial Services. See pages 4-5.
Our global offices have been very busy over the last year and into this year. We’ve offered an EFMD research grant for Middle East and North Africa, forged journal partnerships in the USA, are carrying out Guide to Getting Published workshops in Russia and more! See pages 6-7 for further details.
