Aims and Scope

The purpose of the Advances in Airline Economics series is to provide a comprehensive overview of the current state of the airline industry.  Increasing global demand for efficient and affordable long distance transport of passenger and freight underscores the need for analysis contributing to better understanding the economics of this industry.  Advances in Airline Economics is a source for in depth analysis presented in chapters that focus on an overarching topic per issue.  Topic coverage includes but is not limited to empirical and theoretical analysis of airline labor issues, air cargo express service, airport privatization, regulation of aircraft pollution emissions, airport and airline safety, air transport service in developing countries, aircraft financing, multimodal supply chains, airline operations efficiency, and economics of airport retail service.

The Editorial Review Board invites those interested in serving as a volume editor to submit topic proposals to the series editor via e-mail.
