Research in Competence-Based Management (RCBM) is a peer-reviewed journal (published in serial volume format) for the publication of papers that extend current competence-based management (CBM) theory, propose new additions to CBM theory, suggest new directions for CBM theory development, and/or apply CBM theory in research on management issues and topics.
All volumes in the RCBM series are “focused issues” that address specific issues in CBM theory, research, and practice. Prior volumes have focused on: elaborating the role of the marketing process in building and maintaining organizational competences; elaborating competence approaches to managing knowledge assets and organizational learning; understanding organizational growth through entrepreneurship, innovation, and diversification; and exploring fundamental issues in competence theory development.
Research in Competence-Based Management encourages and adopts an explicitly dynamic, systemic, cognitive, and holistic view of management processes in today’s complex and rapidly changing world.
For all researchers and practitioners working in the leading perspective in strategic management and general management theory, research, practice and education that is competence-based management.
Subject coverage includes, but is not restricted to:
• the marketing process in building and maintaining organizational competences
• competence approaches to managing knowledge assets and organizational learning
• organizational growth through entrepreneurship, innovation and diversification
• fundamental issues in competence theory development
• identifying, building, and linking competences
