Sociology of Crime, Law and Deviance is a series of edited volumes that publishes scholarly work in the areas of the sociology of deviance, criminology and criminal justice, and sociology of law.
The series is not confined in terms of the theoretical perspectives, methodological orientations, and research topics that are addressed. Each volume in the series is organized around one central theme and includes a variety of chapters by authors show-casing their recent work. The series is especially interested in publishing contributions from scholars from various parts of the world and is likewise open to submissions from leading experts and up-and-coming scholars alike.
Prior volumes in the series have addressed a variety of issues, ranging from the organization of the legal professions to ethnographies of law, the criminology of terrorism, surveillance, and restorative justice. Previous contributors in the series have included Richard Rosenfeld, Ross Matsueda, Donald Black, Bruce Arrigo, Gary LaFree, Gregg Barak, Margaret Zahn, Roland Weitzer, Lonnie Athens, Ronald Akers, Joachim Savelsberg, Kevin Haggerty, Thomas Mathiesen, Janet Chan, and Jeffery Ulmer. Prospective volume editors are welcome to contact the series editor to discuss ideas for future volumes.
