Advances in Business and Management Forecasting is a blind refereed serial publication published on an annual basis.

The objective of this research annual is to present state-of-the-art studies in the application of forecasting methodologies to such areas as sales, marketing, and strategic decision making.  It is the hope and direction of the research annual to become an applications and practitioner-oriented publication.

Topicality

The topics will normally include sales and marketing, forecasting, new product forecasting, judgmentally based forecasting, the application of surveys to forecasting, forecasting for strategic business decisions, improvements in forecasting accuracy, and sales response models.

It is both the hope and direction of the editorial board to stimulate the interest of the practitioners of forecasting to methods and techniques that are relevant.

The Editor

Dr. Lawrence is a Professor of Management Science in the School of Management at the New Jersey Institute of Technology.  His professional employment includes over 20 years of technical management experience with AT&T as Director, Decision Support Systems and Marketing Demand Analysis, Hoffmann-La Roche, Inc., Prudential Insurance, and the U. S. Army in forecasting, marketing planning and research, statistical analysis and operations research.   He is a full member of the Graduate Doctoral Faculty of Management at Rutgers, The State University of New Jersey in the Department of Management Science and Information Systems and a Research Fellow in the Center for Supply Chain Management in the Rutgers Business School

Professor Lawrence’s research is in the areas of applied management science, data mining, forecasting, and multi-criteria decision-making.  His current research works include multi-criteria mathematical programming models for productivity analysis, discriminant analysis, portfolio modeling, and supply chain modeling.  His research work has been cited over 700 times in over 150 journals, including:  Computers and Operations Research, International Journal of Forecasting, Journal of Marketing, Sloan Management Review, Management Science, and Technometrics.  He has 300 publications in  26 journals including:  European Journal of Operational Research, Computers and Operations Research, Operational Research Quarterly,  International Journal of Forecasting and Technometrics.  He is, also, Associated Editor of the Review of Quantitative Finance and Accounting, as well as Associate Editor of the Journal of Statistical Computation and Simulation
