Appreciative Inquiry has touched and inspired the work of many individuals, organizations and communities that apply its principles in a wide range of settings including industry, government, spiritual and not-for-profit organizations around the world. The appreciative inquiry circle is growing steadily and has experienced significant developments in terms of recognition and support.
The Advances in Appreciative Inquiry series strives to nurture a premium space in which both scientists and practitioners can share their current experiences and state-of-the-art knowledge of inquiry into positive organizational qualities and dynamics. The series offers a useful communication vehicle for organization scholarship focused on positive modalities of discourse, human organizations, and world benefit. Guided by the ethos of Appreciative Inquiry, the book series supports an ongoing, distributed inquiry into the true, the good, the better and the possible. It is dedicated to advancing a "scholarship of the positive" and "positive scholarship."
The Advances in Appreciative Inquiry series advocates a science of positive human organization, positive relationships and positive modalities of change, in order to create world benefit for individuals, organizations and communities. It is committed to the advancement of Appreciative Inquiry as an approach to organizational and human development, and as an interdisciplinary, non-deficit theory of positive change processes in human systems. Overall, the book series is dedicated to building the positive lens as an approach to social inquiry and human development, and the interdisciplinary articulation of strength-based theories of change and development.
The Advances in Appreciative Inquiry series is refereed and published by Emerald. It is designed to facilitate the dialogue within the social sciences at large and invites contributions from the broad spectrum between traditional scholarship and accounts of hands-on experience. The series editors are committed to giving voice to a range of new topics and to supporting innovative and challenging work that broadens the base of Appreciative Inquiry scholarship and other related positive lenses.
