"SLPS is a leading sociolegal publication that truly embraces innovative, theoretically informed, interdisciplinary legal scholarship"
Eve Darian-Smith, University of California-Santa Barbara
"SLPS is one of my favorite series. The editor routinely attract articles by younger scholars working on important new issues, themes, and analytical frameworks as well as by more established top scholars offering novel reflections about traditions of longstanding socio-legal inquiry. Readers can always count on finding in the pages provocative interdisciplinary studies addressing the relationships among legal practice, social power, and politics. I highly recommend it!"
Michael McCann, University of Washington
The objective of Studies in Law, Politics, and Society is to provide a vehicle for the publication of scholarly articles within the broad parameters of interdisciplinary legal scholarship.
Whereas other law related publications publish within a single domain--the humanities, social science, or legal doctrine. Studies seeks to bridge those divides. We encourage submissions from a broad range of legal scholars and welcome articles exemplifying different theoretical perspectives and methodological approaches. We welcome submissions from an international group of scholars.
All submissions to SLPS are peer reviewed. We are looking for pieces that advance knowledge in their specific areas of inquiry. We welcome articles of various lengths.
Subject matter may include:
The series will be of interest to legal scholars inside and outside law schools interested in the role of law in political and social life.
