Editorial Objectives

Advances in Industrial and Labor Relations is a refereed research volume published annually or biannually. Although the series is designed to focus on industrial relations issues, the editors welcome articles from scholars in diverse disciplines, such as economics, law, history, organizational behavior, psychology, and sociology. The series welcomes manuscripts that may be somewhat longer than is the case with most journals, principally so that authors can explore their respective topics more deeply.

AILR is an academic referee publication with an international audience and authorship.

Coverage

Although the series is designed to focus on industrial relations issues, the editors welcome articles from scholars in diverse disciplines, such as economics, law, history, organizational behavior, psychology, and sociology.

Submissions

Independent of discipline, scholars interested in submitting papers for publication on any aspect of industrial relations should send three copies of their manuscript, entirely double spaced, to (Editor's name) or via email (Editor’s email address). 

About the Editors

David Lewin
Professor Lewin is Neil H. Jacoby Chair in Management at UCLA Anderson School of Management. Professor Lewin is the author of many published works on such topics as human resource strategy, human resource management practices and business performance, workplace and organizational dispute resolution, and compensation and reward systems, including executive compensation and public sector pay practices.
Professor Lewin has consulted widely with business, government and voluntary organizations in the United States and abroad, and serves as an employment litigation expert. He is also Faculty Director of the UCLA Anderson School's Advanced Program in Human Resource Management, Young Presidents Organization (YPO) Management Seminar, and Strategic Leadership Institute (SLI).

Paul J. Gollan
Dr Paul J. Gollan holds a MSc (Econ) and PhD from the London School of Economics and is currently a Professor and Associate Dean (Research) in the Faculty of Business and Economics at Macquarie University. He is also Associate Fellow in the Employment Relations and Organisational Behaviour Group in the Department of Management at the London School of Economics and Adjunct Professor at the Macquarie Graduate School of Management. He is also currently Visiting Senior Fellow at the Australian School of Business at the University of New South Wales.
Paul has authored, co-authored and co-edited a number of books in the fields of human resources and industrial relations. In 2008 he was named in the most influential list for ‘The ones to watch’ in Human Resources Magazine Most Influential HR People in the UK.
